FEEDBACK ON APPLICATIONS

DSR unfortunately from time to time receives unpleasant emails or telephone calls from job seekers claiming that we are a "fly-by-night company", a "hoax company", that we "do not really exist" and have this morning even be threatened with an "Scorpion investigation". An embarrassing incident occurred a few months ago where an individual from East London filed a fraud case against our company. As a result our company was one day visited and inspected by the Head of the Eastern Cape Region Fraud Investigation Division, Senior Superintendent Govender. After the investigation Senior Superintendent Govender actually apologized to us for the fact that he had to do the investigation and for the inconvenience caused. He was satisfied that we are a registered recruitment agency, that we have proper computer and administration systems in place and that we do actually place job seekers internationally on a regular basis. The case obviously never even reached the Court. Our legal advisors advised us to take legal action against the individual that filed this unfounded damaging case against DSR.

As we also receive regular complaints about our busy telephones and requests for "feedback" by our clients, I would like to kindly request you not to assume that we do not exist because our telephone numbers are very busy. Any candidate is more that welcome to visit our offices at any time, but please be so kind as to make an appointment. Our offices are situated in Suite 1A, Hatmed Building, Hilda Street, Hatfield, PRETORIA. As far as "feedback" is concerned, the following is a brief explanation of the procedure that is followed:

After receiving a CV from a candidate, it is evaluated in order to determine whether the candidates' qualifications and experience match the requirements of vacancies available at that time. If so, the CV will be submitted for such vacancy. DSR always try to submit at least three CV's for a vacancy, in most cases between five and ten.

In many cases a candidate's CV might be found not to be suitable for a specific vacancy. This might even be the case when, for example, an electrician applies for an electrician vacancy, or an IT specialist for an IT vacancy. The Job requirements might determine that specific experience or certain very specific skills or knowledge of specific systems or programs is required. In such case, the candidate might have the qualifications and general years experience required, but not the specific skills or knowledge of programs or equipment. Our company cannot and never will submit a CV if we are of the opinion that the candidate is not suitable for the vacancy.

Kindly note that it is not practically possible to inform every candidate that his or her CV was submitted for a specific vacancy. It does not only create expectations, it in the past also resulted in candidates calling our offices on a daily basis "just to hear what is happening". Be assured that DSR will immediately phone a candidate when an employer informs us that the candidate is suitable for employment and that an interview has to be arranged.

Please keep in mind that DSR recruits for international employment. In most cases the process will take a few months, it does not happen overnight. Furthermore, it is extremely important to keep in mind that your CV (your qualifications and experience) will always be the deciding factor. If your qualifications and experience is hundred percent "compatible" with the Job Description, you should be the successful candidate. If not, you CV will then be submitted for any suitable future vacancies.

Be assured of our commitment in trying to find international employment for as many of our candidates as possible.

Best Regards,

DSR Management
